The Pheasant, A Bird Worthy of Nobility

In Quebec, most hunters’ initiation to the sport probably started with small game hunting. The majority of these surely still remember sneaking stealthily along narrow winding forest trails in search of ruffed grouse and wild hare. And few have forgotten the first time they returned to camp with their heads full of memorable moments and their hunting bags full of wild game. Other than those who have followed the numerous trails of the grouse and the hare, which are quite common in our forests, there are few hunters who can boast of having taken a shot at the majestic autumn-coloured bird commonly known as the pheasant.

It is with great pleasure that the 3D Hunting and Fishing team shares their experience hunting this bird of splendid feather and succulent meat.
